Edward Tan currently serves as an Assistant Manager in Air Transport, Hub Strategy and Connectivity at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore since July 2024. Previously, Tan was a World House Student Fellow at Perry World House, where involvement included seminars with policymakers and field learning in Washington D.C. and also worked as a Research Assistant to Ambassador Henri-Paul Normandin focusing on policy recommendations for the Biden Administration's "Summit for Democracy." Additional roles include Associate Editor for the Sigma Iota Rho Journal of International Relations and Editor for the Singapore Policy Journal, along with service as a Commando Combat Medic in the Singapore Armed Forces. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar, a Master of Arts in Regional Studies: East Asia from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside two minors in History and East Asian Languages and Civilizations.
