Matt Brennan

Matt Brennan is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in data science and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Civis Analytics since May 2013, Matt was instrumental in building a cloud-based data science platform utilized by prominent clients such as Biden for President and Verizon. Prior roles include Director of Engineering and Tech Lead, and a Visiting Assistant in Research at Yale Systems Biology Institute focused on the intersection of electrical engineering and biological systems. Matt's background also includes research positions at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the University of Southern California, alongside significant contributions to the US Department of Homeland Security and Obama for America as State Data Director. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering.
