Derek Higaki

Derek Higaki has a diverse range of work experience in the creative field. Derek currently works as the Chief Creative at Civitas Experiential, where they lead the creative and strategy team to help clients with their brand marketing experiences. Prior to that, they worked at IBM iX as an Associate Creative Director, where they guided team members and developed creative concepts for new business opportunities. Derek also has experience at Resource/Ammirati, An IBM Company, where they served as an Art Director and Senior Designer, working on various design tasks and managing junior associates. Earlier in their career, Derek worked as a User Experience Designer and Junior Designer, assisting in the production and maintenance of digital brand properties. Derek started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at The Ohio State University, both in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Athletics.
