Roderick Kemp has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance (QA) testing. Roderick initially worked at Neill Corporation as a Software Tester from March 2007 to January 2009, where they prepared test plans, identified errors, and collaborated with the development team to establish acceptance criteria.
Following this, Roderick joined Electronic Arts (EA) in 2009 as a QA Team Lead (Contractor) for NFL Madden 2011, where they served as a floor lead, monitored test coverage, and mentored testers. Roderick continued their association with EA by working as a QA Tester at Firebrand Games from April 2011 to December 2011, where they conducted compliance testing for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo platforms, prepared test plans, and performed performance testing.
Roderick then returned to EA as a Lead QA Tester (Contractor) for NFL Madden 2013, assuming the role of floor lead for 60 testers, training and mentoring them, managing issues in the defect tracking database, and collaborating with development and embedded QA teams to escalate issues.
Roderick joined TraceSecurity in November 2012 as a QA Analyst, where they tested web-based and client-server applications, wrote and executed test cases and plans, and performed data validation testing using SQL statements.
Returning to EA in November 2015, Roderick took on the role of Quality Analyst II. Roderick transitioned to the role of Automation Analyst (Contractor) - Reporting Lead in November 2016, where they were responsible for understanding automation reports, training team members, formatting global reports for upper management, collaborating with upper management to establish standards and processes, and managing automation requests.
Most recently, Roderick joined Civix in August 2018 as a QA Tester. The duration of their role at Civix is ongoing, and further details about their responsibilities during this period are not provided.
Roderick Kemp's education history begins in 1997 when they attended Scotlandville Magnet High School. Roderick completed their high school education there in 2001, focusing on computer science. In 2001, Kemp moved on to Xavier University of Louisiana, where they pursued studies in computer science but did not obtain a degree.
Kemp's educational journey continued at Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from 2002 to 2006.
In addition to their formal education, Kemp obtained several certifications to enhance their skillset. In 2017, they completed the course "DAT207x: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI" offered by Microsoft. In 2018, they earned certifications from Lynda.com in various Tableau courses, including "Creating Interactive Dashboards in Tableau," "Creating Interactive Dashboards in Tableau 10," "Tableau 10 Essential Training," "Tableau 10 New Features," and "Tableau 9 Essential Training."
