Kai Koberstein has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kai started their career in 1990 at Tenoch GmbH, where they worked as a Project Manager, Software Developer, and Account Manager until 1996. Kai then joined METRO MGI Informatik GmbH as a Project Manager and Software Developer for two years. In 1998, they joined Mannesmann Mobilfunk/Vodafone Germany as a System Owner and Project Manager until 2000.
From 2001 to 2017, Kai worked at Vodafone Hutchison Australia, holding various roles such as Business Process Manager, Leader of IT Service Infrastructure Support group, Head of Infrastructure Operations, Head of Copernicus Operations Centre/Infrastructure Operations Northern Europe, General Manager IT Operations, and General Manager Technology Shared Services.
In 2017, Kai joined CKH Innovations Opportunities Development, where they initially worked as a Programme Director for GSI until 2020. Kai then became the Director of Commercial & GSI until 2023, when they assumed the role of Director of GSI. Lastly, in 2023, they joined Wind as the Program Director for WindTre.
Kai Koberstein has a diverse educational background that includes degrees in business administration and management, as well as computer science and economics.
In 1989, Kai began their education at Fachhochschule Fulda, where they pursued a degree in Diplom Wirtschafts-Informatiker / Master in Computer Sciences & Economics. Kai studied at the institution for four years, completing their education in 1993.
Kai also attended Maastricht University School of Business and Economics in 2004. There, they participated in the Vodafone International Business Strategy Program and focused on the field of Business Administration and Management. Kai's studies at this institution lasted for one year, concluding in 2005.
In addition to their degrees, Kai holds the certification of ITIL Expert in Service Management. Kai obtained this certification from TÜV SÜD in June 2009.
