Timothy Constant

Tim Constant, Ed.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Tim is currently a Lecturer in Teacher Education at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to this, they worked at Clarenceville School District as a Lead Curriculum and Instructional Coach, as well as an Instructional Coach for middle and high school. Tim also held positions at the Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus, Crescent Academy, Hamtramck Public Schools, Warren Woods Public Schools, Cranbrook Educational Community, Southfield Public Schools, CASA Richard Academy, and Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency. These roles included positions such as Associate Director of Teacher Education and Outreach, Manager of Education Outreach, Interim School Leader/Principal, Turnaround Principal, Director of Teacher Evaluation and Instructional Improvement, Social Studies Teacher, Academic Dean/Social Studies and Communication Arts Department Chair, Social Studies & English Teacher/PLC Leader, Assistant Principal/Director of Curriculum/Teacher, and Accountant. Throughout their career, Tim Constant has gained valuable experience in various aspects of education.

Tim Constant, Ed.D. holds a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Practice from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, which they obtained from 2018 to 2022. Tim also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university, earned from 2003 to 2005. In addition, they received a Certification in Administration from Eastern Michigan University in 2010. Tim holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Finance, General from Walsh College, attained from 1993 to 1995, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Accounting from Lawrence Technological University, received between 1988 and 1992. Tim completed their high school education at Grosse Ile High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in 1988. Tim Constant has also obtained various certifications, including being a Trained Mentor from Mentor Collective and a Newsela Certified Educator, both acquired in December 2022. Other certifications they hold include AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Human Geography, and AP U.S. Government and Politics from The College Board, obtained in 2014 and 2007 respectively. Additionally, they possess an Administrator Certification K-12 from the State of Michigan Department of Education, received in June 2007, and a Professional Education Certificate (Secondary) in Social Studies, English, and Political Science from the same institution, obtained in June 2005.
