Shivashankar Jayaraman

Shivashankar Jayaraman has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Shivashankar is currently working as a Senior Engineering Manager at Clari since 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Engineering Manager II at Walmart Global Tech India from 2022 to 2023, where they led a team in the International Tech organization responsible for developing ecommerce product offerings in South Africa and India.

Shivashankar also has experience working at Amazon, where they served as a Software Development Manager II & III from 2016 to 2021, leading a team focused on Amazon E-commerce shopping technology. Shivashankar was also a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon from 2013 to 2016, working on the Deals & Traffic Team and handling the design and scaling of web services providing deals information in multiple marketplaces.

Prior to Amazon, Shivashankar worked at Yahoo! as a Tech Lead & Sr. Software Engineer from 2008 to 2013. Shivashankar mainly worked on Java-based components for Yahoo! Mail Storage Services.

Shivashankar began their career as a Scientist at DRDO, Bangalore from 2003 to 2006. Shivashankar worked on the integration of J2EE components for different subsystems in the Command Information Decision Support System project. Their responsibilities included meeting non-functional requirements and ensuring the smooth functioning of the system.

From 1999 to 2003, Shivashankar Jayaraman attended the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree (BE) in Computer Engineering.

From 2006 to 2008, Shivashankar Jayaraman pursued further education at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and obtained a Master's degree (ME) in Computer Engineering, specializing in Internet Science and Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Shivashankar Jayaraman also obtained a certification in OCPJP (SCJP) Java 1.6 from Oracle in July 2011.
