Michael Haspel's work experience includes various senior leadership roles in the chemical industry. Michael started their career as an intern at GE Plastics in 1996. Michael then joined BASF as a Market Development Manager, where they worked for 11 years. In 2008, they became the Business Manager for the Coatings and Construction Chemicals market segment at Clariant Corporation. From there, they progressed to roles such as Commercial Excellence Project Manager, Corporate Planning & Strategy Senior Project Manager, and Head of Commercial Excellence. In 2019, they became the Regional Business Unit Head of Industrial & Consumer Specialties at Clariant, responsible for the North American division. Most recently, they have held the positions of Vice President of Personal & Home Care and Global Vice President of Personal & Home Care at Clariant Care Chemicals.
Michael Haspel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. Michael later pursued an MBA with a concentration in Integrative Management at the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University from 2003 to 2004.
