Larry Thaxter

Larry Thaxter has extensive experience in the education sector, with a career spanning over 30 years. Larry currently serves as the School Principal at Clarion School since 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they served as the Principal at Liwa International School. Before joining Liwa, from 2016 to 2019, Larry was the Superintendent at Canadian International School. Larry also worked as the Academic Vice Principal at Abu Dhabi Educational Council from 2014 to 2016. Larry's earlier roles include being the Principal at Canadian International School of Abu Dhabi from 2013 to 2014, and as the Principal at Lethbridge School District #51 from 2005 to 2013. Larry also had a leadership position as the Principal at American International School of Jeddah from 2002 to 2005. Larry started their career as a Vice Principal at Lethbridge School District #51, where they worked from 1993 to 2002.

Larry Thaxter earned their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Physical Education and Social Studies from The University of Lethbridge from 1979 to 1983. Larry later obtained their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the same university from 1995 to 1998.
