William Farmer

William Farmer has over 20 years of work experience. William began their career in 1998 as a Systems Analyst/Software Developer at GT Systems. In 2000, they moved to PNC Financial Services Group as a Software Engineer. In 2004, they joined Raytheon as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2006, they became the Manager of Software Development at Concurrent Technologies Corp. In 2009, they worked as a Business Advisor and Senior Software Engineer at RequiTest, Inc. Finally, in 2012, they became the VP of Engineering and Sr. Software Engineer at Clarity Business Solutions, Inc. In 2020, they took on an Adjunct Instructor role at the College of Information Studies (UMD iSchool), University of Maryland.

William Farmer has a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. William also has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from various institutions, including Coursera, MongoDB University, and Coursera Verified Certificates, such as "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization", "Neural Networks and Deep Learning", "Interfacing with the Arduino", "MongoDB for Java Developers", "Creative, Serious and Playful Science of Android Apps", "R Programming", and "The Data Scientist’s Toolbox".
