Jon Friend

Jon Friend is an experienced manager with a strong background in technology-oriented consultation and solutions. Currently serving as a Manager at Clarity Partners, LLC since May 2017, Jon leads a team of engineers and analysts to deliver projects focused on client engagement and service delivery. Previously, Jon held significant roles within the City of Chicago, including Senior Advisor and Chief Innovation Officer/Chief Technology Officer in the Office of the City Clerk, where leadership included co-directing a transition team and authoring a comprehensive executive prospectus. Jon began a career in public service as a Technology Project Manager and Business Analyst at the Illinois Department of Transportation, and has held various positions across state and municipal agencies, including the State of Illinois and Chicago Park District. Jon attained a BA in Political Science and Government from DePaul University.
