Chris Griner

Chris Griner, CPA, has extensive experience in educational and financial leadership, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Clarke County School District since July 2023, and previously held the same position at Glynn County Schools and Liberty First Bank. Chris's career includes notable roles with several school districts, including service as CFO for South Carolina Public Charter School District, Forsyth County Schools, Sumter School District, and Gainesville City Schools, as well as an Executive Director of Finance role at Barrow County Schools. Chris's financial expertise was further developed as a Controller at The Brand Banking Company. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Valdosta State University, earned between 1988 and 1992.
