Althea Thomas

Althea Thomas has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a K-5 Reading Tutor, K-3 Mathematics Tutor, and K-5 Writing Tutor at ClassDojo since April 2023. Previously, Althea has been an Elementary School Teacher with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System since July 2020 and held similar positions at Cumberland County Schools from September 2015 to June 2020 and with the Ministry of Education, Youth & Information from August 2005 to August 2015. Althea also has experience teaching Information Communication Technology and English at PreUniversity School Georgian House between August 2005 and July 2012 and served as a Teacher and Program Coordinator at H.E.C.O.I.N in early 2010. Althea holds a Master of Education in Reading and Literacy from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship from Western Carolina University, complemented by a Diploma of Education in Primary Education from Sam Sharpe Teachers' College.
