Laura Christmas

Laura Christmas has an extensive background in communications and media. Laura most recently served as the Director of Communications for the Clay County Board of County Commissioners, where they built the county's first Communications Department from scratch. Prior to that, they were the Coordinator of Communications and Media Partnerships for Clay County District Schools, where they led efforts to improve the district's marketing communications and crisis communications. Laura also has experience in the field of journalism, having worked as a Bureau Chief/Multimedia Journalist for WHNT News 19 and as a Multimedia Journalist for WGFL/WNBW (CBS/NBC). Laura began their career in media as a Producer/Anchor and Reporter for WUFT-FM (NPR) and WUFT News.

Laura Christmas attended Pasco High School from 2006 to 2008. In 2010, they enrolled at the University of Florida and completed their studies in Telecommunications Broadcast news in 2012.
