Brendan Smith

Brendan Smith is a seasoned Human Resources professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades across various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Cleanaway Waste Management since May 2023, Brendan has also held a long-term position as Liaison Officer at Rugby Australia since February 2002, managing international rugby teams' tour arrangements. Prior experience includes HR Business Partner at Sodexo and Assistant Director of People and Culture at Serco Australia, where significant achievements included enhancing staff engagement, developing training programs, and successfully negotiating Enterprise Agreements. Brendan's career commenced in the Department of Education & Training in Queensland, where various roles culminated in the position of Principal Human Resources Consultant. Brendan holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the Queensland University of Technology.
