Mr. Cameron Thorne is an EPC Account Manager. Cameron’s focus is working with Borrego’s clients across the country to provide turnkey solar and energy storage solutions for their projects. His clients include Independent Power Producers (IPPs) as well as large Behind-the-Meter customers. To deliver for these clients, he leads internal cross-functional teams through the design, pricing, proposal, and contracting stages of projects. Cameron has been interested in energy his entire career; his first exposure to renewables took place as a member of the first Appropriate Technology class ever offered by Seattle Pacific University in which they designed and built a biogas generator, a micro-hydro installation and a small wind turbine. Later Cameron worked for both the Department of Defense as well as in the oil and gas industry as a consulting engineer before transitioning full-time to renewable energy and joining Borrego in 2012.
Cameron is passionate about making solar energy highly competitive with traditional energy sources through technological innovation and a ‘can-do’ approach to project development. Cameron is a licensed Electrical Engineer and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Seattle Pacific University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
