Ken Hayes

Ken Hayes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ken is currently the Executive Director at Cleantech Open, where they lead the organization in finding and supporting entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to energy, environmental, and economic challenges. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as Venture Partner at Canyon Creek Capital, a VC fund focused on technology firms in California. Ken also held various roles at Pasadena Angels, where they sourced new investments and provided mentorship to tech start-ups. Ken has a background in internet investment and consulting as the founder of Toluca Media LLC, as well as experience in teaching entrepreneurship as an adjunct instructor for the Innovation Corps at the National Science Foundation. Ken has also served on advisory boards for companies such as AnyMeeting.com and Nami Media Inc., and has held leadership positions at companies such as Oversee.Net, IMS Learning A/S, and Ergosaver, Inc. Overall, Ken has a wealth of experience in venture capital, start-up mentorship, and entrepreneurship education.

Ken Hayes earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Pomona College. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship from INSEAD.
