Jacqueline Schafer has a wealth of experience in the legal field. Jacqueline began their career in 2007 as a Summer Associate at Paul, Weiss. Jacqueline then interned at the Center for Reproductive Rights in 2008. In 2008, they returned to Paul, Weiss as a Litigation Associate, where they represented large financial institutions and drafted a comprehensive policy manual for an international construction company. In 2010, they became Corporate Counsel at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, where they advised the billion dollar corporation and its subsidiaries in highly regulated oil & gas, construction, and engineering industries. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Opinions, Appeals and Ethics Section of the Alaska Department of Law. In 2017, they became Senior Director, Program Counsel at Casey Family Programs, where they served as in-house legal counsel to the $3 billion dollar national private operating foundation. In 2018, they co-founded Playdate Village, where they managed the business, legal, and UX aspects of a privacy-focused startup for the informal childcare sector. In 2019, they co-founded Weekdays, where they were General Counsel, Ops, and Head of Partnerships. Currently, they are the Founder and CEO of Clearbrief.
Jacqueline Schafer has a diverse educational background. Jacqueline obtained their J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 2008. Prior to that, they earned their B.A. magna cum laude in English and French from the University of Pennsylvania. Jacqueline also spent time as a Visiting Student at New York University School of Law, studied abroad at EMLYON Business School in Lyon-Ecully, and attended The Lawrenceville School.
