Bastien Gorret has a range of work experience in various engineering roles. Bastien started their career as a Teaching Assistant at EPFL from 2012 to 2015. In 2016, they worked as an Engineering Intern at RUAG Space AB, where they gained experience in system engineering and rover concept analysis. Bastien then joined MIT as a Teaching Assistant from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Bastien joined Airbus as a Technology Roadmapping Systems Engineer, focusing on value-based optimization of R&T investment decisions. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Space Systems Engineer at eSpace EPFL Space Center. Since 2019, they are with ClearSpace, initially serving as a Mission Engineer & Robotic Systems lead, and currently working as a Systems Engineer for ADRIOS/CS-1.
Bastien Gorret completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2011 to 2014. Bastien also earned certifications such as the Sphair, Aeronautical Aptitude Test from Aero-Club der Schweiz in 2011, the First Certificate in English, C1 level from Cambridge Assessment in 2010, the Goethe-Zertifikat B2 from Goethe-Institut e.V. in 2010, and the Radio telephony and language proficiency in English from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland in 2010.
Bastien Gorret further expanded their education and experience by pursuing a Master's thesis at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016-2017, although the specific field of study for the thesis is not provided.
