Claire McCrorie

Lead System Architect at ClearSpace

Claire McCrorie has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Claire began their career in 2000 as a Payload Operations Engineer at EADS Astrium, where they were responsible for the development and implementation of payload operational concepts for the Galileo Space Segment. Claire also served as an External Interface Engineer and a Navigation Payload Systems Engineer during their time at EADS Astrium.

In 2012, McCrorie joined Airbus Defence and Space as the Solar Orbiter Lead Operations/FDIR Architect. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of the spacecraft's operational concept and FDIR design. Claire managed a team of up to 8 people and oversaw the functional design of the spacecraft.

In 2021, McCrorie moved to Thales Alenia Space as a Lead Systems Engineer. Claire'srole involved leading system engineering activities and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Currently, McCrorie is working at ClearSpace as the Lead System Architect, a position they started in 2023.

Claire McCrorie attended Cranfield University from 1999 to 2000, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering.
