Daniel Buckley

Daniel Buckley has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Daniel started their career in 1996 as a Founder and Web Developer at PC Ekspert Portal d.o.o., where they developed a successful content management system and contributed to a leading Croatian online PC magazine. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as an IT Specialist at Institute Ruder Boskovic, where they focused on web development and system administration. Daniel then joined Croatia Airlines as a Web Developer, where they advanced the company's website and managed its content. From 2001 to 2010, Daniel worked at eircom as a Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Web Developer, leading various projects including the re-engineering of the corporate intranet and the development of a cross-platform system. Daniel then joined Nordea, where they served as a System Analyst, Project Manager, and Software Developer, overseeing the development of IT solutions and managing security risk assessment and disaster recovery plans. Currently, Daniel is working at Clearstream as a Security Lead, bridging the gap between security and development teams, implementing security components, and ensuring toolchain requirements are met.

Daniel Buckley completed their education at multiple institutions. From 1995 to 1998, they attended the University of Zagreb and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. In 2017, they enrolled at The Open University and pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing with a specialization in Information Security, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, in 2018 and 2019, Daniel enrolled in the Cisco Networking Academy to obtain a certification in Cybersecurity Operations. Daniel also holds several additional certifications, including the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification (obtained in 2021), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification (obtained in 2019), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification (obtained in 2019), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification (obtained in 2013), and ITIL Foundation Level certification (obtained in 2011).
