Joseph Ruhlin

Joseph Ruhlin is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience, including the role of Corporate Security Officer at Raymond James Financial since May 2024. Ruhlin has served as a CVSA Truth Verification Operator with the Clearwater Police Department since January 2012, bringing certification in CVSA and VIPRE systems. As the President and co-founder of the National Homicide Investigators Association since March 2016, Ruhlin has contributed significantly to the field. Prior to this, Ruhlin retired from a position as a Homicide Detective at the Clearwater Police Department, where service spanned nearly two decades. Additional roles include membership in the Pinellas County Deadly Force Task Force and leadership positions within the Florida Homicide Investigators' Association. Ruhlin also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of South Florida, alongside an Associate of Arts from St. Petersburg College.
