Daniel Santacruz

Daniel Santacruz has a diverse work experience in the finance sector. Daniel is currently serving as the VP of Finance at Clēnera, a position they assumed in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Avangrid Renewables, where they held the role of Senior/Managing Director of Business Planning & Analysis from November 2019 to April 2022. At the same company, they also served as the Director of Investment and Long-Term Planning from September 2018 to October 2019.

Before their tenure at Avangrid Renewables, Daniel held various positions at The AES Corporation. Daniel served as the Director of Global Treasury Operations from February 2018 to August 2018. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Financial Planning & Business Analysis for the United States Market, responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for several generation businesses and retail companies within AES. Daniel held this position from July 2013 to January 2018.

Daniel also has experience working with AES Chivor as a Financial Analyst from July 2003 to October 2006. Daniel began their career as a Financial Analyst at Gas Natural Fenosa in 2001.

Daniel Santacruz earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes between 1993 and 1998. Daniel later pursued a Masters degree in Corporate Finance from CESA from 2001 to 2003. Finally, Daniel completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Xavier University from 2013 to 2015.
