Alex Phillips

Alex Phillips is a Property Director at GLH Hotels. Alex has worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years, starting out as a Development Executive at Cathedral Group Plc. In 2013, they became Director of Masterplanning at Grosvenor Group. Alex then took on the role of Property Director at glh Hotels in September 2018. Alex is responsible for the long-term strategy for the £1.2bn portfolio and leads all development, asset, projects, and facilities management activities. Alex has also overseen the £48m refurbishment of The Cumberland Hotel into the new Hard Rock Hotel London.

Alex Phillips has a Bachelor’s Degree in General Architectural Studies RIBA Part 1 from the University of Bath. Alex also has a Grad Dip (Arch) from Virginia Tech, and a Grad Dip (Architecture and Cultural Studies) from Oxford Brookes University. Alex is a Chartered Member of the ROYAL INSTITUTE OF BRITISH ARCHITECTS and the Architects Registration Board.

Alex Phillips reports to Alan Morgan, CEO. They are on a team with Gavin Taylor - CFO, Richard Sabberton-Coe - General Counsel and Company Secretary, and Gareth Lock - COO.
