Lucy Matz Veres has a diverse work experience in the field of sports media and production. Lucy began their career as a Sports Intern for WEWS NewsChannel 5 in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Research Intern for ESPN. Lucy then moved on to become a Production Assistant for Pitt Panthers Television at the University of Pittsburgh from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they gained further experience as a Broadcast Event Logger for Major League Baseball Productions. Since then, Lucy has been employed by the Cleveland Cavaliers, starting as a Digital Seasonal from 2012 to 2013. Lucy then advanced to the role of Social Media Coordinator from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2021, they served as the Social Media and Online Community Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Manager, Community Relations, which they began in June 2021. Their responsibilities at the Cleveland Cavaliers included various tasks such as gathering and distributing news clips, updating websites, taking photos at games and events, and conducting post-practice video interview coverage.
Lucy Matz Veres's education history began in 2004 when they attended Richmond Heights High School. After completing their high school education in 2007, they went on to further their studies at the University of Pittsburgh. From 2007 to 2011, Lucy pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication & Rhetoric. Additionally, they obtained a Public & Professional Writing Certificate during their time at the university.
