William "Tim" Cornelius has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. William "Tim" started their career as a Cincinnati Development Officer Intern at USA Rugby in 2011. In 2013, they became the Referee Certification Coordinator at USA Rugby and held this role until 2015. During their time at USA Triathlon from 2015 to 2017, they served as the Event Services Coordinator. William "Tim" then worked as the Head Cashier at the Cleveland Indians from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Operations Supervisor at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. In 2019, they moved to Nationwide Arena and worked as an Operations Supervisor until 2022. During this time, they also had a role as Event Staff at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission in 2022. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Screen Printer at eRetailing Associates LLC. Currently, they are employed as an Operations / Changeover Coordinator at the Cleveland Cavaliers since 2022. Additionally, they have experience as a Swim Course Coordinator at Hfp Racing since 2021.

William "Tim" Cornelius attended the University of Cincinnati from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Administration. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications in the field. These certifications include Level 1 Officiating Certified from USA Rugby, Level 1 Race Director Certification from USA Triathlon, Level 200 Coach Certified from USA Rugby, SafeSport - Concussion in Sports from the National Federation of State High School Associations, SafeSport - Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment from the National Federation of State High School Associations, and USA Triathlon Grade 3 Certified Official from USA Triathlon.
