Manuel Schweikle has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Manuel began their career as an intern at Siemens Energy in 2007, where they worked in material testing and development. In 2010, they worked as an intern at Birdos Freeride Skis, where they were involved in ski development and production. In 2012, they were a Scientific Assistant at the Institute for Metal Casting and Forming at Technical University Munich, where they worked with experimental casting alloys. In 2014, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at CertoClav Sterilizer GmbH, where they were involved in the development of novel lab autoclaves. That same year, they also began working as a PhD Research Student and Teaching Assistant at the University of Oslo, where they worked in biomaterials and tissue engineering. In 2019, they became a Research Scientist at SINTEF, where they consulted in preclinical regulatory approval of nano-enabled medicinal products. Most recently, in 2020, they became the CSO and Co-Founder of CLEX BIO.
Manuel Schweikle obtained their Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich between 2007 and 2014. In 2013, they completed an exchange student program at the University of Oslo (UiO) in Biomaterials Engineering. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Visiting Scholar at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Biophysics. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biomaterials Science at UiO in 2019.
