Gabriel Manzanarez

Venture Fellow At Climate Capital Bio at Climate Capital

Gabriel Manzanarez is an experienced professional in the fields of biotechnology and systems biology, currently serving as a Venture Fellow at Climate Capital and EVP of Research at Nucleate. At Nucleate, Gabriel directs four core programs and previously held the role of Founding VP of Innovation, where efforts were made to illuminate opportunities for innovation in emerging industries. In addition, Gabriel co-manages a national sustainability-biotech accelerator program. As a PhD candidate in Systems Biology at the University of California San Diego, Gabriel studies engineered living cells, supported by a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship. Previous roles include work at Stanford University in RNA engineering, co-founding the soccer ball design company TIRO, and research positions at UCSF and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Gabriel holds a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley.
