Mikkel Larsen has a strong background in finance, sustainability, and corporate sustainability. Mikkel is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Climate Impact X since April 2021. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at DBS Bank, where they held several senior roles including Chief Sustainability Officer - Group and Managing Director - Co-chair of DBS Sustainability Council. In addition, they served as the Group Head of Tax and Accounting Policies, overseeing tax aspects and accounting principles throughout the DBS Group. Mikkel was also involved in various strategic initiatives, including digital currencies and risk management. Before joining DBS Bank, Mikkel Larsen worked at UBS as the CFO Asia Pacific and held other executive positions. Mikkel started their career at Citigroup and later worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Sustainability at Copenhagen Business School since October 2019.
Mikkel Larsen completed their Master's degree in Sustainability Studies at the University of Cambridge from 2018 to 2020. In 2010, they attended Harvard Business School to pursue executive courses. From 1995 to 2004, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in EMBA - Economics from the London Business School. In 2000, Mikkel Larsen also studied Finance at Harvard University. Additionally, they earned a Graduate - Cand Merc Aud degree in Economics from Copenhagen Business School, where they studied from 1991 to 1996.
