Jessica Cashdan joined Climate Central as Vice President for Development in September 2020, bringing more than 20 years of professional expertise to this role. Her development leadership experience includes seven years at Boston College, where she served as the associate dean of advancement for the law school, overseeing the management, communication, and operational strategy, and more recently, assuming a broader role for the university, serving as executive director of campaign planning, spearheading initiatives designed to prepare Boston College for its next multi-billion dollar campaign. Before joining Boston College, she worked at Harvard University for five years, leading a fundraising team that played a critical role in the completion of a $475M campaign for Harvard Law School. Prior to her roles in higher education, Jessica spent nine years at WGBH, where she held various positions of increasing responsibility. In her last role as Director of New Initiatives, she focused on developing multi-platform, cross-disciplinary initiatives designed to attract large-scale philanthropic funding. She began her career in the human rights sector working in various capacities for mission-driven organizations.
Jessica holds an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University, a master's degree in political science from Boston University in Paris, and a master’s degree in international relations from Georgetown University.
