Akil Prabhu has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles and industries. Akil is currently working at Climeworks as the Lead Plant Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Bühler Group as a Lead Piping Engineer and Project Engineer, where they were involved in designing plant sections for lithium-ion batteries. Akil also has experience as a Development Engineer at Helveting Engineering AG, a Facilitator at Team Works Gmbh, a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Area Commissioning Engineer at Ausenco, a Piping Engineer at Fluor Corporation, and a Project Engineer at KT Pipelines. Additionally, they worked as a Mechanical/Piping Engineer at The Simulus Group and Ausenco, and as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Material and Fibre Innovation.
Akil Prabhu completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Deakin University between 2005 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, which they completed between 2000 and 2004.
