Jan Hildenbeutel has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Beginning in 2012, they worked as a student research project at ONERA and later as a diploma thesis at the Institut für Thermodynamik der Luft- und Raumfahrt - Universität Stuttgart. In 2013, they joined Linde Kryotechnik AG as a Process Engineer, where they were responsible for basic and detail engineering of cryogenic systems. Jan also generated P&I diagrams, conducted process simulations, and provided commissioning support. Jan Hildenbeutel eventually became the Deputy Head of Process Engineering at Linde Kryotechnik AG, overseeing phase gate reviews and leading HAZOP studies. In 2018, they joined Climeworks as a Senior Process Development Engineer, where they developed workflows, instructions, and templates for project execution and risk analysis. Jan then served as the Head of Process Engineering, overseeing the technical coordination of large-scale projects. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Engineering at Climeworks.
Jan Hildenbeutel studied Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik at the University of Stuttgart from 2007 to 2013, earning a Diplom-Ingenieur degree. In 2011 to 2012, Jan also pursued a field of study in Raumfahrttechnik at ISAE-SUPAERO.
