Tabitha Kern, MS, MLS(ASCP)

Tabitha Kern, MS, MLS(ASCP) has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tabitha currently holds the position of Director at Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Project Manager from July 2021 to November 2021, and as a Project Manager from February 2019 to July 2021, also at CLSI.

Before joining CLSI, Tabitha worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Tabitha held various roles during their tenure, starting as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in June 2007 and progressing to Technical Specialist I in October 2010, Technical Specialist II in July 2015, and Technical Specialist III in December 2018. Tabitha'sresponsibilities involved conducting laboratory tests and providing technical expertise.

Tabitha also gained experience as an Immunology Educator at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children from February 2014 to June 2015, contributing to the education and training of healthcare professionals in immunology.

Tabitha'scareer began as a Medical Technologist Intern at Valley Health System in 2006, where they gained practical experience in various laboratory procedures.

Through their progressive roles and diverse experiences, Tabitha has developed a strong foundation in laboratory science and project management, making their a valuable asset in their current role as Director at CLSI.

Tabitha Kern, MS, MLS(ASCP) pursued their education in the field of Medical Technology. Tabitha completed their Bachelor of Science degree at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2007. Tabitha later continued their studies at Rutgers University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist, between 2015 and 2019.
