Amelia Tian has an extensive work experience. Amelia began their career in 2016 as an Agency Manager and School of Mixology Teacher at Columbia Bartending Agency, where they organized the Agency's 200 student bartenders, facilitated communication with clients, helped resolve conflicts, and created policies to ensure fair compensation and professional standards. Amelia also taught 20+ introductory bartending certification courses that covered materials including safe service, standard liquors’ history and use, cocktail design, and basics of wine/beer. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where they worked to validate the effects of hormones on gene expression via in situ hybridization. In 2019, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where they optimized cell culture conditions and protocols for maintaining mouse epiblast stem cell lines in culture. In 2020, they were a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and a Medical Assistant and Clinical Research Coordinator at DermCare Experts Dermatology/Beacon Clinical Research. Currently, they are an MCAT Course Instructor at Kaplan Test Prep and an Implementation Manager at CRIO.
