Kathy Derby

As the Vice President of Marketing, Ms. Derby directs all sales and marketing aspects of Clinical Solutions as well as overseeing activities associated with business development and other non-clinical activities. Ms. Derby’s areas of expertise include pharmacy operational management, cost containment, and performance improvement initiatives. She is responsible for all RFP response writing, new client development and implementations, designing and implementing client requested initiatives, drug utilization evaluations, and departmental performance improvement efforts. She also works on special projects and services provided as necessary to our clients. Her goal is to provide a seamless transition during the implementation process, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide leadership to the team. She has extensive experience in managing on-site training and software implementations.

Ms. Derby has over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of management experience in business start-ups, operational management, cost reduction initiatives, organizational planning, implementation of automation and technology, and performance improvement efforts.

Ms. Derby graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Marketing. She is responsible for market analysis, market research, and competitive product evaluation.

Ms. Derby began her career with Clinical Solutions as a Management Consultant for the Nebraska Department of Correction’s Pharmacy, managing all aspects of operations for the State Department of Correction’s central pharmacy. Prior to joining Clinical Solutions in 2011, she worked in a variety of corporate management capacities in the residential construction, commercial trucking, and retail industries. She also brings extensive experience in sales and advertising, needs analysis, organizational change, internal communications, strategic planning, group facilitation, multi-project management, and training.
