Matt Pettit

Matt Pettit has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Matt worked as an Operations & Logistics Manager at Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, where they managed various responsibilities including pre-race preparations, clothing stock management, and providing 24/7 cover to the yachts during races. Matt also participated in the selection of future race skippers. During the race, they managed in-port race village branding, set up corporate and sponsor sailing events, assisted with berthing requirements, and performed driving duties. Matt also provided general assistance to the maintenance team.

Prior to that, Matt worked as an Operations & Logistics Coordinator at Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, where they gained experience in coordinating logistics operations.

Before their experience in the sailing industry, Matt worked as a Sales Negotiator at Bond Oxborough Phillips, and as a Dock Master at Universal Marina. In these roles, they gained experience in sales and customer service, as well as managing dock operations.

Matt's earliest professional experience was as an Operations Manager at Manly Kayak Centre, where they gained experience in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Matt Pettit completed a BTEC in Outdoor Education from Budehaven Community College from 2006 to 2008. Following that, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Watersports Business Management at Solent University.
