Maleeha Barlas

Maleeha Barlas is a skilled professional with extensive experience in governance and auditing. Currently serving as Vice Chair of Governors and a Governor at Kaizen Primary School since May 2020, Maleeha also holds the position of Senior Internal Auditor and Senior Company Secretarial Assistant at Close Brothers since May 2022. Previously, Maleeha gained valuable experience as a Governance Trainee at HSBC from June 2021 to May 2022, and as Assistant Company Secretary at Scorpio Group from January 2020 to May 2021. Prior roles at KPMG UK from September 2014 to January 2020 included positions as Assistant Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate, starting from the 2014 intake of the School Leaver Programme. Maleeha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Birmingham and is a qualified Chartered Accountant through ICAS, completing education from September 2014 to July 2019. Early education was completed at Nonsuch High School for Girls from 2006 to 2013.
