Curriculum Design Specialist at CLOSE UP FOUNDATION

Abigail Manning is an experienced professional in curriculum design and civic education, currently serving as a Curriculum Design Specialist and Student Program Specialist at Close Up Foundation since June 2021. Previously, Abby held the position of Program Instructor at the same organization from January to July 2020, where responsibilities included teaching civics education to students in grades 7-12 through interactive workshops and discussions with DC lawmakers. Earlier experience includes serving as a Language Table Facilitator at Internationales Zentrum Uni Trier, focusing on English discussion and language support for non-native speakers, and as Front Desk Staff at Vernon Free Library, providing customer service and managing library systems. Abigail Manning holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Alfred University and has furthered education at Universität Trier and through The Experiment in International Living Mongolia.
