João Sampaio

João Sampaio has had a long and varied career in software engineering. João started in 2012 as a Software Engineer at Async Open Source, where they developed a desktop application in Python with PyGTK and wrote automated tests for Stoq, an ERP for small businesses. In 2016, they moved to Trounceflow as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the quality team and eventually the entire engineering team. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at AdRoll, where they implemented solutions for new customers and worked on development from frontend with React.js to backend with Python and Flask. João also worked as a Software Engineer at BairesDev in 2017. In 2018, they moved to AlayaCare as a QA Automation Technical Lead and Software Engineer, where they developed new features and fixed bugs in the various modules of the application and wrote automated unit and integration tests. Finally, they are currently working as a Senior Backend Engineer at Close.com, where they are implementing new features and fixing bugs on the backend and infrastructure.

João Sampaio completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from UFSCar - Alumni between 2008 and 2014.
