Phil Freo

Phil Freo has a long and varied work experience. Phil began their career in 2003 as a Web Developer at DentalPC. In 2005, they were an intern Web Developer at W.W. Gay Facility Automation. In 2006, they were a Front-End Web Engineering Intern at Yahoo!, and in 2007, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Product Manager & Developer at Quizlet, Inc. In 2012, they joined Close.com as VP Product & Engineering, and was promoted to Senior Director of Engineering, where they managed a 20+ Engineering department. Finally, they were promoted to Head of Product & Engineering, where they grew the Product/Engineering team from 3 to 15 people.

Phil Freo obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in 2009. In July 2009, they also obtained a Zend PHP5 Certified Engineer (ZCE) certification from Zend Technology.
