Sam Cooper

Sam Cooper is a seasoned event management professional with extensive experience in creating and executing large-scale events across New Zealand and Australia. Currently serving as the National Manager at Closed Loop since August 2021, Sam specializes in sustainable waste management for events, festivals, and venues. Previous roles include Events and Special Projects Manager at Child Cancer Foundation, Volunteer Manager for the ASB Auckland Marathon with The IRONMAN Group Oceania, and Event Manager for the renowned Night Noodle Markets at Nine. Additional experience encompasses working with OzHarvest to provide food relief during the pandemic, managing sponsorships and operations at SPUR and Fairfax Media, and overseeing various competitive snow sports events. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Recreation with a focus on Event and Sport Management from Auckland University of Technology.
