Venkat Pillay

Venkat Pillay is the current CEO and founder of CloudFrame. Venkat has also served as the president and co-founder of Disha Trends, and as a director at Merrill Lynch and SOA Software.

Pillay began their career at Merrill Lynch in October 2005 as a director. Venkat was responsible for managing the SOLA product, which had a footprint on the mainframe and a J2EE Server. Venkat was also key player in the sales and marketing efforts for the product. In April 2010, they left Merrill Lynch to join Disha Trends as president and co-founder.

At Disha Trends, Pillay was responsible for developing an innovative mobile development product called Adler. Venkat successfully led the company to achieve a 30%+ growth rate. Some of their major clients included Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America), Bear Stearns (now JP Morgan Chase), Thomson Reuters, Principal Financial Group, Ingram Micro and Credit Suisse First Boston. In April 2015, they left Disha Trends to start CloudFrame.

CloudFrame is a cloud-based software company that provides solutions for enterprise organizations. The company’s flagship product is CloudFrameHQ, which is a cloud management platform that helps enterprises manage their cloud infrastructure.

Venkat Pillay completed a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. Engg. College, Bilaspur and an M Tech in Thermal and Fluids Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Some direct reports include Gregory Saxton - Chief Technology Officer, Hans Otharsson - Chief Operating Officer, and Balaji Swaminath - Chief Scientist.
