Urooj Hussain

Urooj Hussain has been working in the software engineering and IT industry since 1998. Urooj began their career as a Software Engineer at TWINSTAR SOFTWARE EXPORTS LIMITED in 1998. In 2003, they joined Siemens Healthcare as a Sr. Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for leading testing strategy and test planning, creating test plans, test data, and testing scenarios, and managing product testing. From 2005 to 2017, they worked at Ciber as a Sr. Consultant, at AgileTrailblazers as a Senior Business Analyst/ Agile Product Owner, at Celerity as a Lead Consultant, and at The College Board as a Product Owner. In 2017, they began working at Becton Dickinson as a Manager - Requirements Engineering / Clinical, where they were the Product Owner for Vasular access management analytics (VAMA). In this role, they led requirements engineering for a globally distributed team that supported the whole platform which encompasses a mobile app on Android and iOs, and a web application that includes multiple workflows. Urooj was also responsible for managing requirements for the BD Pyxis™ Tissue and Implant Management System (TIM) and Pyxis™ ParAssist handheld device par levels. In 2022, they began working at Cloudpermit as a Product Manager.

Urooj Hussain is currently enrolled in a Mastering Design Thinking program at the MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus on Innovation & Design Thinking. Prior to this, Urooj Hussain obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Bangalore University in the field of Information Technology. Urooj Hussain also holds certifications from the Scrum Alliance, ICAgile, and other institutions, including Certified Software Product Owner, ICAgile Certified Agile Test Automation, ICAgile Certified Agile Testing, ICAgile Certified Professional, and ICAgile Certified Project Management.
