Mike Theroux has over 25 years of work experience in the field of software development and architecture. Mike started their career as a co-op software engineer at Charles River Analytics, where they contributed to the implementation of an artificially intelligent learning agent.
After that, Mike worked as a Unix Systems Administrator at Voicetek Corporation, where they led various initiatives, including implementing a corporate-wide disaster recovery solution and designing the networking infrastructure. Mike then joined Aspect Telecommunications as an IT Operations Specialist, where they continued their successful work from Voicetek and led initiatives to modernize Aspect's DNS systems.
In 1999, Mike joined Progress Software/Sonic Software as a Software Architect. During their time there, they played a key role in the Continuous Availability Architecture in SonicMQ and the distributed run/debug framework in SonicESB.
In 2007, Mike joined GyPSii as a Principal Engineer. Mike developed their first mobile client and later worked on developing their next-generation SOA container.
In 2009, Mike joined BMC Software as an Architect (Principal Product Developer). Mike worked with the Bladelogic Server Automation product unit and was embedded in various development teams. Mike defined high-level design and architecture, from detailed daily engineering activities to company-wide strategic initiatives. Additionally, Mike was considered the engineering organization's "swing capacity," driving engineering objectives to conclusion.
Most recently, Mike has been working at Cloze since 2012 as the Chief Architect. No end date is provided for this role.
Mike Theroux attended Northeastern University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
