Catherine Selkirk (CISSP, CISA, CDPSE, ISTQB)

Catherine Selkirk has extensive work experience in the field of technology testing, risk and audit, and IT consulting. Catherine is currently employed at CLS Group as the Technology Testing Lead (GRC). Prior to this, they worked at Colt Technology Services as the Head of Technology Audit from April 2021 to September 2022.

From 2017 to 2021, Catherine held a senior management position at Clear Channel Outdoor, where they performed IT reviews across multiple locations and managed a team. Catherine'sresponsibilities included examining IT processes, conducting SOX control testing, and communicating issues to senior management.

Before joining Clear Channel Outdoor, Catherine worked for KPMG UK as a Technology Risk Consulting IT Advisory Manager from 2015 to 2017 and at KPMG Advisory Services as a Senior IT Analyst from 2012 to 2015. Catherine also gained experience as a Tutor at Rhodes University from 2009 to 2011 and as an Intern at BSG in 2011.

Catherine holds several certifications including CISSP, CISA, CDPSE, and ISTQB, demonstrating their expertise in information security, auditing, privacy, and software testing.

Catherine Selkirk obtained a Matric degree from Hudson Park High School, specializing in A aggregate, from 2003 to 2007. Catherine then pursued their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Information Systems and Management from Rhodes University, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, Catherine furthered their education at Rhodes University by completing a BComm Honours degree in Financial Management and Information Systems.

In terms of additional certifications, Catherine achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2021. Catherine also obtained the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer certification from ISACA in December 2020.

Moreover, Catherine has acquired several certifications from LinkedIn. These include Ethical Hacking: Cloud Computing, CISSP Cert Prep: 6 Security Assessment and Testing, Cybersecurity for Executives, and Programming Foundations: Data Structures, all obtained in May and June 2020. Catherine also obtained the SSCP Cert Prep: 3 Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Analysis certification during the same period.

Additionally, Catherine holds the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification from the International Software Quality Institute (iSQI) since August 2016. Catherine also obtained the CISA certification from ISACA in June 2014, and the COBIT 5.0 Foundations certification from ISACA in February 2014.
