Michelle Curtin

Michelle Curtin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of compliance and regulatory change. Michelle is currently the Executive Director at CLS Processing Solutions Limited since October 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of UK & Corporate Compliance and Executive Director at CLS Group from November 2017. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Compliance Risk Management Framework and leading the Regulatory Compliance Advisory team.

Before joining CLS Group, Michelle worked at BNY Mellon from 2008 to 2017. Michelle held various positions including EMEA Head of Policy, Regulatory Change & Governance, Managing Director of EMEA Regulatory Change, Senior Advisor for Large Exposures Framework Program, Project Editor in the Strategic Initiatives Group, Senior Project Manager in the Office of EMEA COO, Business Analyst, and Compliance Manager.

Michelle also gained valuable experience at Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. as a Compliance Manager from 2005 to 2008. Michelle started their career at Ulster Bank, where they worked as a Sarbanes Oxley Analyst and Regulatory Risk Consultant from 2004 to 2005. Michelle also served as a Compliance Officer at First Active from 1999 to 2004.

Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated expertise in compliance, regulatory change, governance, and risk management.

Michelle Curtin attended University College Dublin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Financial Services degree. Michelle later enrolled at ACOI in 2007 and completed a Professional Diploma in Compliance in 2009. Additionally, Michelle has also pursued studies at the Institute of Bankers, where they gained qualification as a Financial Advisor.
