Joseph Lightfoot

Joseph Lightfoot has a diverse range of work experience in the field of sports journalism. Joseph started their career as a Work Placement at Burton Mail in 2017 and gained experience as a Newsdesk Sports Reporter Work Experience at Derby Telegraph from November 2017 to February 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Soccer AM Work Experience at Sky and also as a Sports Writer at Soccity from June to October.

Later, in the same year, they joined Snack Media as a Football Journalist, where they were responsible for publishing accurate and informative football content and gaining technical skills on WordPress. Joseph also worked at Derby County Football Club as an Academy Social Media/Reporter, where they headed a small social media team, created multimedia content, and scheduled content for matchday coverage.

In 2019, Joseph had a work placement at The Times. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at GiveMeSport as an Online Journalist, where they wrote frequently and accurately to a specific target audience and developed skills in writing for online platforms such as SEO, multimedia content, tags, headline writing, and news reporting.

Currently, Joseph is working at Formation Games as a Content Manager, where they started in September 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Content Executive at the same company from August 2020 to September 2022. Overall, Joseph has gained extensive experience in content management, journalism, social media, and writing for online platforms throughout their career.

Joseph Lightfoot attended the University of Derby from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Football Journalism. In May 2020, they also acquired certification in Marketing Tools: Social Media from LinkedIn.
