Jimmy Harmsen

International Business Development & Operations Director @ EDC China at CMC

Jimmy Harmsen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Jimmy started their career as a Customer Service Representative at Orange in 2004 and then moved to Talpa Media Holding as an Assistant Producer. In 2008, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at T-Mobile Netherlands BV before returning to Talpa Media Holding as an Assistant Producer and Graphics Coordinator. Jimmy also gained experience as an Assistant Producer at Eyeworks.

In 2010, Jimmy worked as an Apple Product & Sales Professional at iFactors and as a Producer, Editor, and Graphic Designer in a freelance capacity. From 2011 to 2017, they joined IPCN International Programme Content Network, where they held several roles. Jimmy started as a Project Executive and then became a Production Consultancy Coordinator for "The Voice of China." Later, they served as a Format Acquisitions, Sales & Content Partnerships Manager and eventually became the Head of Acquisitions & Content Partnerships.

Since 2017, Jimmy has been working at CMC Inc. as the International Business Development & Operations Director for EDC China. In this role, they are responsible for international festival licensing and co-production, talent management, and event production and operations. Jimmy has extensive experience in sourcing and selecting TV formats and content, negotiating licensing deals, and localizing TV formats for the Chinese market. Jimmy is also skilled in fostering relationships with international clients and partners and identifying new business leads and cooperations.

Jimmy Harmsen attended Breda University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Media & Entertainment Management. Jimmy later pursued a Master in Media Innovation with a focus on Digital Media at the same institution from 2010 to 2011.
