Ivaylo Marinov

Ivaylo Marinov has a significant amount of work experience in the maritime industry. Ivaylo'smost recent role is as Chief Engineer at CMI Ship Management, where they began in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as Chief Engineer at Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line for one month in 2022. From 2020 to 2021, Ivaylo worked as a Technical Superintendent at Integrated Maritime Pte Ltd and IMM Singapore. Ivaylo also has extensive experience as a Chief Engineer at Maritime Holdings Group Inc. from 2009 to 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Machinery Supervisor at Langset from 2006 to 2009 and as a Ship Engineer at MARITIME NAVIBULGAR from 1991 to 2006.

Ivaylo Marinov completed their Master's degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Ikonomièeski universitet, Varna in the years 1994 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1991, they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Marine engineering and maintenance, new building from Naval Academy - Varna, Bulgaria.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Ivaylo Marinov also holds various certifications. These include certifications in Maintenance of Power systems in excess of 1000 Volts, Monitoring & operation of Main & Auxiliary machinery & associated control systems, Engine team and resource management, Marine environmental awareness, Proficiency for ship security officer, and Chief Engineer on ships of 3000 kW or more. These certifications were obtained from the Bulgarian Maritime Administration, with the respective years of completion ranging from 2005 to 2014.
