Rida Akhlaq has a diverse range of work experience. Rida has served as an On Call Resident Assistant at Hunter College, where they facilitated a smooth dormitory experience and organized virtual and in-person programming for students. Rida also worked as a Food Pantry Assistant at the Hunter Purple Pantry, providing access to free food products to students in need. Additionally, Rida was a Yalow Honors Scholar and an Undergraduate Student Senator at Hunter College. Rida has been involved in various organizations, such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where they held roles as a Friends of MSF secretary, event coordinator, and publicity & campaign officer. Rida Akhlaq completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Hunter College from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, they obtained an Advanced Regents Diploma with Distinction and Honors in Math and Science from Staten Island Tech High School from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, Rida has obtained various certifications in fields such as human subjects protection, biosecurity training, narrative medicine, climate and health advocacy, bystander intervention, and response to opioid overdose. Rida has also received recognition as a finalist in the World Pre-Health Conference Global Health Competition. Notably, Rida has completed certifications and training related to construction safety and health.
